FORUMS

Sorry, the SKULLZ Forums arent available on small screen sizes.

  • Yesterday I spent some minutes testing my connection in what will-soon-be my home.
    I think I'll lag.  :-[

Bandwidth is good (14Mbps/1Mbps) but ping quite sucks 'cause I'm too far from the "switching building" (I don't know how to call it exactly) so line attenuation is very high (34db)...

I'll be like all the Russians/Kurwas laggers! laugh
    • Never knew about the stuff you just said xD But Mr Google says that 34db is a really good result for line attenuation. The maximum is 40db and everything below 20 is sucky.
      • I think you misread your search results! smiley

Line attenuation -> the lower the better
SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) -> the higher the better

34db of attenuation means you are 2500-3000 meters from the central office (that's the correct term!). And it's quite... distant!

Fact is: now my ping to a fixed (fast) host is 22-23ms; with my new connection it's 30ms. sad
        • ah kk fuck it I just care about my ping anyways laugh
          • I need to buy new translator laugh
